Smoothies are one of my favorite breakfasts to have in the morning. I love how fast and full they are, while also being great to carry on the go. My favorite type of smoothie is one that is super thick and creamy like a smoothie. One method I use to accomplish that is through the use of soft tofu.
Tofu is great in many ways. I love it in my stir fry, but it's actually super versatile and perfect for sweet applications too. Just like in this strawberry and papaya smoothie. Its neutral flavor and silky consistency make it perfect for that smoothie consistency.
My daughter is also a huge smoothie fan, so that's another reason why I love adding tofu to our smoothies. Add a little more health to the drink without affecting the taste of the breakfast drink. I can easily relax knowing that she completely enjoys drinking something full of nutrients that will also keep her satisfied for hours. She also loves this strawberry and papaya smoothie as a snack or dessert! We're excited about the role tofu plays in the smoothie by reading House Foods Tofu Tales (click the link to download the ebook).
We love how beautiful the illustrations are, plus all the tasty recipes included. The book teaches you how to eat healthier as you progress through the adventure with little tofu while learning how wonderfully it combines with other foods. Suggestion: This strawberry and papaya tofu smoothie is from the book.
