The Caramel Slipper Tub ~ Coffee Cocktail

Have you ever had one of those "days" that you think, I should never have gotten out of bed and if only one thing happens, I'm going to need bail and an alibi? Place the meat intelligently and now put the repertoire. Seriously, they're also not worth the $ 20 rental fee for the wood chipper. šŸ˜‰ Then there's all this mess to clean up. Yuck. Joking aside, believe me, this cocktail is a much better solution! In addition, "orange" is NOT the new "pink". Ugh.

Anyway, I had a few "those days" recently, and that was exactly what I needed! Remember that old salesman, "Calgon! Take me somewhere else! ā€? Well, it will take you far, far away, transport you to a tranquil, heavenly spa, where all your frustrations melt … and a good candlelit bubble bath doesn't hurt either! šŸ˜‰

A creamy, dreamy and buttery caramel ~ coffee cocktail to soothe the head and repair the heart. Then let all your problems swirl down the drain with the last of the bubbles. Not only will you feel better and relaxed, but you will have a little extra energy to deal with whatever happens next! Hopefully it will be nothing more than an old missing MIA sock in the dryer! šŸ˜‰

It's a good drink after dinner to be enjoyed on the terrace, porch or patio in the evening too. You can also make more coffee and pour the excess into ice cube trays and freeze them to add to your drink so that it is not all sweetened. A great way to use the last pot in the morning. And the extra whipped cream and the caramel sauce on top … oh, myyyy …. should I say more? So give yourself a royal spa treatment at home, you deserve it, we are not "Wonder Woman", and we are taking a break. Take a long hot bath and remember that tomorrow is a new day. šŸ˜‰

Makes 1 large or 2 small cocktails

4 oz. (1/2 cup) strong coffee, cooled

2-3 Tbl. caramel sauce, or to taste for sweetness

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 oz Amarula Liqueur

1 oz Buttershots, I use the DeKuyper

2 oz. Baileyā€™s Irish Cream

2 oz. Milk

ice cubes or "coffee cubes"

whipped cream at the top

1 Tbl. more caramel sauce for drizzling

Infuse 4 oz. strong coffee (1/2 cup), stir in caramel sauce to taste for sweetness until melted, refrigerate to cool. You can speed it up and put it in the freezer, but don't let it freeze. Add the rest of the ingredients, stir and pour over ice cubes or frozen coffee in a large glass or 2 small glasses. Garnish with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
