The best flavored green protein shake

I have practiced yoga for years, but recently I started going to classes with my brother's girlfriend, a dedicated yogi.

The studio has its own juice bar that makes The best green protein shake of all time. (Shout out to One Love Juice Bar on YogaOne!)

I look forward to classes for both my post-workout shake and the class itself!

What makes this green protein shake more surprising than the rest?

  • It is rich and creamy and not taste like you're eating your vegetables (but you're doing it!)
  • In addition to being packed with vitamins and minerals, this green smoothie is also high in protein.
  • Really is good for you! Gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugars or artificial sweeteners.
  • Is a absolutely beautiful shade of green! There's no gooey green, brown, and gross milkshake here!

Some of the ingredients used in the juice bar are a bit rare and might not be available in a regular supermarket (I'm looking at you walnut milk)

Forget about those slimy green drinks you drown in the name of health ... this green protein shake is absolutely delicious! Gluten, dairy, sugar free.

Our healthy ingredients for green smoothies

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 2 handfuls of spinach (about 1 cup)
  • 2-4 dates without bone (more if you like sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla protein powder (Hemp protein powder keeps the recipe dairy and sugar free, although you can substitute it with your choice of protein)
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (The original recipe calls for pecan milk, but you can substitute any non-dairy milk of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup spinach over 2 handfuls
  • 2-4 dates without bone
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla hemp protein powder can substitute for another type of protein
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender.

  2. Mix until smooth. Add more milk if necessary.
