These strawberry and banana granola bars are super easy and make a perfect and healthy snack. My children and I are huge fans of Quaker Chewy Bars. They can be quite expensive and full of preservatives. I became a priority to make more homemade items as part of my New Years Resolutions for 2015. I often make our homemade Peanut Butter Granola Bars. The granola bars are perfect for a lunch, a takeaway breakfast, or a snack. I am looking for ways to sneak more fruit for myself and my children this year. So yesterday I made a batch of granola bars loaded with strawberries and bananas. Mmm!

Strawberries and bananas are two of my favorite fruits. These granola bars can be made with any of your favorite fruit combinations. Bananas are perfect for making oatmeal come together, making it a perfect fruit to add.

The ingredients needed for these simple granola bars are fairly inexpensive. Also, not many ingredients are needed. Take oats, honey, milk, coconut oil, bananas, and strawberries. I lined up my pan with parchment paper to make them easier to cut into bars. Also, since the strawberries provided quite a bit of moisture, I had to bake for about an hour. If you're using a different fruit that doesn't produce as much moisture, you won't need to bake for that long.
