In yesterday's post "Preparing for the Super Bowl Party Made Easier," I referred to two game day snacks, Southwest vegetable sauce and the ever popular spinach sauce. I am going to share both recipes this week and the first is my favorite: the classic Knorr spinach sauce.
Yes, I said Knorr and yes, it is on the back of the package.
I've loved this spinach sauce recipe for years, and not just because it's one of the easiest sauces to make. Every time I bring this spinach sauce to a party, people love it. When I tell them it's from the back of the Knorr Vegetable recipe mix, they can't believe it.

I think the great reviews for this recipe are the result of a few minor tweaks, all of which are optional, of course.
Optional only if you want your spinach sauce to taste like spinach sauce from others.
I recommend serving it in a sourdough bread bowl. This time I used a square bowl and I loved how it turned out!
Printable recipe for my modified version of the classic sporch sauce Knorr. Enjoy!.
