It's game time! I have two brothers and a father who love sports. During "La CopaOr the World Cup, my house goes crazy. During football, it's also crazy with food and friends. So doing something quick like my spicy brown sugar bacon cracker is perfect.

In the maƱana, we usually eat a hearty breakfast. I like FarmlandĀ® bacon for the taste. It is smoked on real hardwoods for maximum flavor. They are also very proud of the way they treat their meats and their smoking techniques. Itā€™s a great way to start the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bacon

  • 1 packet of crescent rolls

  • 1/4 cup agave syrup

  • Ā¾ cup of brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin

  • 2 teaspoons of Cayenne

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a baking dish with waxed paper.
  • Unroll the crescent rolls in a single dough plane, sealing the gaps. Stretch the dough evenly.
  • Prick the dough with a fork all over. Put aside.
  • Cook the bacon. Drain. Let it cool and crumble it into pieces.
  • Sprinkle the dough with the agave syrup.
  • Sprinkle with half the brown sugar.
  • Garnish with bacon, cumin, cayenne pepper and the rest of the brown sugar.
  • Bake in the oven approx. 25 minutes or until caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven. Let cool before breaking into pieces.
