Freshly squeezed skinny margarita

Daisies have a bit of a bad rap as a calorie-laden drink that's guaranteed to derail your diet. Perhaps the frozen concoctions you find in restaurants deserve rap, as they're often loaded with sugar, syrups, and preservatives.

However, a freshly squeezed "skinny" margarita is quite light. And once you've eaten a freshly squeezed margarita, it will never come back!

Cut two limes and two tangerines in half. You can also use a large orange if that's what you have on hand.

Squeeze the limes and oranges into a small bowl.

TIP: Use a fork to stab the meat of the limes before squeezing them to facilitate the juice.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of Stevia powder and beat until dissolved. We chose stevia as our sweetener because it is naturally sourced and contains zero calories.

Salt the rim of a glass of rocks. We use kosher salt mixed with lime zest for an extra touch.

Tip: Pour salt into a small plate and run a cut file around the rim of your glass. Carefully place your glass upside down on the salt plate, which should adhere to the lime juice.

Forget about powders and mixes: This simple skinny margarita recipe uses only natural ingredients for a fresh and refreshing cocktail.

Fill the rock glass with ice. Pour 1 1/2 ounce of tequila over ice.

Strain the sweetened citrus juice into the glass. Straining removes any pulp or seeds that may have strained into the bowl.

Cover with a little water and shake to mix. Health!
