- 1 kilogram of potatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 liter of milk
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup rustic breadcrumbs or broa bread
- ¾ cup of mayonnaise
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt

Put the pieces of cod in a saucepan and cover with the milk. Light the medium-low heat, season to taste with salt and pepper and cook them for about 15 minutes more or less. Control the cooking since the milk rises enough when it starts to boil.
