I've been drinking a lot of protein shakes lately, and frankly, they get boring. Vanilla … chocolate … the same every other day. 🙂
So I searched the Internet trying to find some recipes, but most of them were full of unhealthy ingredients. I mean … if I'm going to throw away unhealthy things, I might as well eat ice cream. So I came up with this super easy, super delicious and really healthy protein shake recipe.
I think you are going to love it.
Ingredients you need:
- 1 cup light almond milk (I like Hiland or silk milk)
- 1 serving of vanilla protein mix
- 1 cup strawberries (I like them frozen, but they can be fresh)
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened gelatin mix (powder)
- 1 cup ice (you may only need half a cup of ice if your strawberries are frozen)

How to make this strawberry protein shake:
You need a good blender first.
I have a Vitamix and I love it. It is old and still strong. It is a great investment to get one, but it is an investment that will not disappoint. It will be the last blender you have ever had to buy. Amazon has several of them for sale right now for a great price.
Now, if a Vitamix is not in your budget, I recommend a professional Waring blender. They are going to do the job. Now they are not as good as a Vitamix, but they are the best for a much more reasonable cost. Amazon has several Waring blenders for sale right now.
Either way, I know you can enjoy a delicious smooth green smoothie with one of these mixers.
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high heat until smooth. It can take two tries to make it perfectly smooth, but this is delicious and a nice change to a regular protein shake.

This strawberry cheesecake protein shake recipe is by far one of my favorite healthy protein shake recipes because it literally tastes like strawberry cheesecake but without all the calories. It is sweet but full of protein and healthy strawberries. It is the perfect food when you are in a hurry. I personally love this in the morning.
I even made it and then put it in the freezer for a few minutes to make it thicker and colder, where I can almost eat it with a spoon.
