Perfectly roasted Brussels sprouts are a winter staple to prepare meals. Easy to make in just a couple of minutes, vegan and gluten-free!

Do you like Brussels sprouts? I have a love and hate relationship with them. I love them when they are perfectly roasted and cooked and I hate them when they are overcooked and look like a sad soggy porridge.

The problem is that it is very easy to cook them too much. Like, you look away for a minute and bam! – Suddenly, they overcook.

I also don't like cooking them in water, but I do enjoy them roasted. Especially when roasting together with other vegetables. So we did that.

Clean and halve a few cups of Brussels sprouts, place them in a pan covered with a baking sheet, sprinkled with olive oil, salt and pepper, and put in the oven to roast for about 15 minutes at 180 ° C.

You can also add other vegetables to the tray while roasting, such as cauliflower, onion, and zucchini.

  • 4 cups brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • pinch of salt
  • pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 ° C / 360 ° F.
  2. Clean and half of the Brussels sprouts, then place them in a pan covered with baking paper.
  3. Season with olive oil, salt and black pepper, stir to combine and place in the oven.
  4. Roast for 15 minutes until crisp and golden.
