Pepperoni Pizza Bombs: Pizza in the form of warm, soft rolls filled with pepperoni and lots of CHEESE. Easy, ready in 15 minutes, perfect for HOLIDAYS, and simply IRRESISTIBLE!

One of the most popular recipes on my site is Easy Cheese Bomb Bread and I also have a Pepperoni Pizza Sliders recipe that is very popular.

I married those two recipes in the form of these easy pepperoni pizza bombs that are extremely easy and ready in 15 minutes.

I used one of my favorite cooking tricks: a can of refrigerated cookie dough. The cookie dough is sold in the refrigerated section of your grocery store, Target, or even Amazon.

Just open the can, separate the 8 pieces, add the pizza or marinara sauce, top with pepperoni and cheese before putting the edges together.

I used mozzarella cheese but you can use diced cheese segments if you have it on hand.

While the buns are baking, melt a little butter and spread it with Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Brush it off generously as soon as the bread comes out of the oven. Smooth, warm, buttery, garlic-cheese-bread-meets-pepperoni-pizza heaven. Garlic butter is a nice touch here.

While I would technically call it an ideal appetizer for parties ranging from game day parties (hello Superbowl party) to holiday events, the rolls are also perfect they need to take these kids to dinner immediately type of pop-up hitter food for busy weeknights when you have absolutely no time at all complicated. Add a salad and call it a day.

Pizza of any kind is always a winner and these are so irresistible.

I have a video below that shows how I make pizza bombs.

Pepperoni Pizza Bombs: Pizza in the form of warm, soft rolls filled with pepperoni and lots of CHEESE. Easy, ready in 15 minutes, perfect for HOLIDAYS, and simply IRRESISTIBLE!

  • 1 tube (approximately 16 ounces) of refrigerated cookie dough (I used a 16.3 ounce tube of Pillsbury Grands Homestyle Butter Toughin ‘Biscuits containing 8 cookies)
  • 4 tablespoons of pizza or marinara sauce, divided; more more to dip if you want
  • 24 pepperoni slices, divided
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into eight 1-inch square cubes (can substitute diced cheese), divided
  • 4 tablespoons (half a stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoonful of garlic powder, or to taste
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley, optional for garnish

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with Silpat or aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. Separate the cookies and add approximately 1/2 tablespoon of pizza sauce, 1 cube of cheese and 3 pieces of pepperoni in the center of each cookie, wrap the dough around the contents, seal and place on the baking sheet with the seam facing down. Squeeze tightly to wrap it up, and if the pizza sauce spills, wipe it off with a paper towel and don't worry. Repeat until all dough, sauce, and cheese are used. Bake for about 8 to 9 minutes, or until lightly browned; Watch them closely in the last few minutes of cooking because they can go from undercooked to overcooked in less than a minute. While the rolls are baking, prepare the butter mixture.
  3. In a small microwave safe bowl, add the butter and heat on high power to melt, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  4. Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder and stir to combine. As soon as the rolls come out of the oven, generously brush each with the butter mixture, optionally garnish with parsley and serve immediately with additional pizza sauce if desired. The rolls are the best hot and fresh.
