- 8 medium apples
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup yeast flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch of salt
- 2 butter spoons
- 2 puff pastry sheets
Heat the oven to 220C.
Peel, core and cut the apples, keeping the thickness of the slices uniform.
Mix together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt in large bowl.
Add the apples.
Pour into a cake pan and sauté in butter.
Cover with the top crust and seal the edges. Cut slits at the top.
Cover the edge with a 5 cm strip of aluminum foil to prevent it from becoming too brown.
Cook for 40-50 minutes until the juice bubbles through the slits.
Remove the foil during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
