However, don't worry. We will return to the game very soon, just follow my example. But, a tip, look the other way when I'm eating a piece of Strawberry tart cake. There's nothing that can stop me from eating cake. And ice cream.
So I am not a rice cake. Well, unless it's those apple cinnamon rice cakes, then yeah, I'm a rice cake eater, though, I'll eat 4 at once. I'm sure that's not how they're supposed to be used, I know, but that's why rice cakes are not in my summer plan. But, the food I grew up on definitely IS.

The next ingredient sent by God is and always will be yogurt. We swear by these things. A cup a day keeps our doctor away.
So it's a layer of my adorable Cara Mia Artichokes. Lemon, walnut, acid … mmmm! I could eat the jar.
Our next star is a layer of delicious black olives, then a layer of lettuce, a layer of tomatoes, a thick layer of feta cheese, and TADAAA! A pinch of olive oil on top and DIG IN!
Watch? That's ours Everything but the sink In a bowl! Seven layers of a lovely sauce served with toasted garlic bread… This feels great.
Do it for your family, do it for yourself, do it for the weekend. Memorial Day, too. Take ingredient measurements as a starting point, but layer as much or as little as you like. God knows I would duplicate it.

Seven Layer Sauce Mediterranean Salad Prep Time 15 minutes Total Time 15 minutes A fantastic seven layered Mediterranean sauce with garlic hummus, yogurt, artichokes, olives, feta cheese and more. The perfect salad sauce for parties, picnics and family gatherings. Course: Appetizer Servings: 14 Calories: 70 kcal Ingredients FOR SMOKE
- 1 can (16 ounces) rinsed chickpeas
- 3 tablespoons of STAR extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons tahini paste (if you don't have tahini paste, you don't have to use it)
- 3 garlic cloves
- fresh lemon juice from 1 whole lemon
- 1/4 cup fresh Italian parsley leaves
- salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons of water
- Prepared hummus dip
- 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
- 1 bottle (14.75 ounces) Cara Mia artichoke hearts in water
- 1 cup sliced low sodium black olives
- 6 to 8 cups of romaine lettuce leaves
- 2 cups sliced cherry tomatoes
- 1 (4-ounce) container crumbled feta cheese
- STAR extra virgin olive oil
- Slices of toasted garlic bread to serve
Instructions PREPARE THE HUMM
- Place all of the Hummus Dip ingredients in a food processor; process for 2 minutes, scrape down the sides and continue processing until smooth and well combined, about 4 minutes. If you like a slimmer hummus, add 1 more tablespoon of water and process until combined.
- Using a spoon, make Hummus in a deep salad bowl or small bowl.
- Add yogurt over hummus.
- Artichoke hearts layer on the yogurt.
- Add sliced black olives.
- Layer of lettuce leaves on olives; add tomatoes and feta cheese.
- Sprinkle with a little extra virgin olive oil (optional) and serve with toasted garlic bread slices.
- Keep refrigerated.
You can prepare the Dip a few hours before, but keep it refrigerated and do not add the olive oil to the top of the lettuce until it is ready to serve.
