I love the Alfredo / spinach combo! This is a nice change from the traditional red sauce lasagna. Use sweet, soft, or spicy Italian sausages according to your family's tastes – they all work and are just as delicious!

Italian Sausage Lasagna Alfredo Spinach

I love the Alfredo / spinach combo! This is a nice change from the traditional red sauce lasagna. Use sweet, soft, or spicy Italian sausages according to your family's tastes – they all work and are just as delicious!

Ingredients

  • 12-16 oz. lasagna noodles (you may not need them all)
  • 1 pound of Italian sausage
  • 1 package (10 oz.) Frozen, thawed, and well-drained chopped spinach
  • 1 (16 oz.) Jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 box (15 oz.) Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (4 oz.) Mozzarella cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 Ā° F. Spray 13x9x2 in. bake with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Cook the noodles according to the package directions. Drain. Set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, cook and crumble the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown and cooked through. Drain the sausage; add spinach and Alfredo sauce.
  4. In a bowl, combine the egg, cheddar, ricotta, and parmesan cheese; mix well.
  5. Pour in a third of the sausage, noodle, and cheese mixture. Repeat the layers twice. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes. Let stand 10-15 minutes before cutting.
  7. Serve hot.
