Healthy apple pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-healing whole wheat flour, sifted
  • 4 green apples, diced, peeled
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup of macadamia oil
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and grease a 20 cm round cake pan.

  2. In a bowl, mix together the oil, honey and eggs, and beat well.

  3. Fold the sifted flour, nutmeg and cinnamon.

  4. Gently stir the apples and nuts through the batter and pour into the prepared cake pan.

  5. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a wooden skewer is removed from the center of the cake.

  6. Turn over a rack and cool.

Notes

Vegetable oil can be substituted for macadamia. Walnuts can replace walnuts.
