Yum, these Mini Chili Dog Crescent are now a hit in our home! Perfect bite-sized dogs with chili stuffed inside a crescent. The husband made us a batch of these last weekend and all the children ask for more. These are a perfect snack or meal if you ask the kids, ha ha! I think these puppies will become a staple around here. If you need a quick and tasty snack for the holidays or for the Super Bowl, grab a couple of cans of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, Hormel Chili and little sausages and make them for your guest. Surely they will be a success, I promise!

Growing Mini Chili Dog

I always pick up Crescent Rolls when they are for sale with a coupon. Usually we find great deals that combine the coupon with a sale. Children like to have them ready for a snack. Since we had guests for the holidays, he really wanted to use the half moon scrolls he had bought, but he wanted to be kicked a bit more. The husband surely delivered. I had found a cocktail sausage sale and I had some Hormel Chili left over from a previous sale that I had stockpiled. So, he stirred these Mini Chili Dogs Crescents in just a few minutes.

INGREDIENTS 1 package of cocktail sausages 1 can of crescent rolls 1 can of chili (15 oz) 1 bunch diced green onions Cheddar Cheese Grated

ADDRESSES Preheat oven to 375. Unroll the crescent dough. Cut each of the triangles in half and place them in the muffin tin cups. Put a wiener on each one. Back for 10 minutes. Heat the chili according to the directions on the can. Remove from the oven and cover each dish with chili. Return to the oven for 5 minutes. Place the rolls on the wire rack to cool. Top with grated cheese and chopped green onions.

Covering the little sausages with chili, cheese, and green onion really sets these little appetizer bites apart from our usual crescent rolls.
