I came up with the idea for these Flaky S’mores pizza triangles after drooling over these crispy crunchy pie crunch from Chef in Training's talented Nikki.

I've used crescent rolls to do a Hidden S'mores treatment a long time ago, but I needed a fresh new twist, and this is exactly what I had in mind.

I made a golden butter crumb with crushed Graham crackers, then sprinkled it on some canned muffins. I covered that with some mini marshmallows and baked it until the crescents were flaky, golden brown and the marshmallows were well toasted.

Then I sprinkled some melted chocolate on top.

Graham cracker crumb filling is just magical. Imagine a coffee crumb topping infused with buttery graham crackers.

The half moons become crisp with several scaly layers. When paired with the buttery topping, perfectly toasted marshmallows, and sweet chocolate drizzle, it just melts in your mouth.

Flaky S’mores pizza triangles

These half moons become crisp with several flaky layers. When paired with the buttery topping, perfectly roasted marshmallows, and sweet chocolate drizzle, it just melts in your mouth!

Ingredients

  • 1 tube (8 units) of refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup finely crushed Graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil (or vegetable oil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Spread crescent rolls (so they lay flat) on an ungreased baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl combine COLD butter with sugar, flour, cookie crumbs, cinnamon, and salt. Use a fork to mix, creating a thick crumb. Sprinkle over the crescent rolls. Top with some mini marshmallows.
  4. Bake for 8-12 minutes, until the moons and marshmallows are golden.
  5. Meanwhile, place the chocolate chips and coconut oil on a microwave-safe plate and heat at 50% power for 30 seconds, stir and repeat until the chocolate is smooth and melted.
  6. Once the half moons have cooled slightly, drizzle the chocolate on top. Cut into smaller triangles if desired. Enjoy!
