This sweet and salty Firecracker Popcorn is covered in white chocolate and sprinkled with star chips and Pop Rocks to make fireworks in your mouth. It's a July 4th gift that people won't be able to stop talking about.
I decided to make these patriotic popcorn after buying a ton of Pop Rocks to make firecracker pretzel bars.
It was only an afterthought, but I think Firecracker Popcorn is my favorite July 4th gift to date.

It couldn't be easier to do. Just take out a bag of microwave popcorn. Mix with melted white chocolate. It is better to do this with your hands. Have your kids do it if they don't feel like getting dirty! They will love it.
Then sprinkle the 4th of July and the red Pop Rocks over all the coated popcorn before the white chocolate gets on. You can also use blue Pop Rocks, but I think they look a bit greener than blue. Look for patriotic sprays at Michael’s Craft Store, Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts, or order at Star Sprinkles
Give a bag of popcorn to all the kids at your July 4th party and prepare to hear lots of laughter. These popcorn are so much fun to eat!
