Creamy Bacon and Cheese Dip

  • 250 ml of low fat cream
  • 2 cooked bacon slices
  • 1 small finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup of grated cheese
  • 1 pinch of pepper * to taste


  1. Remove the rind and fat from the cooked bacon.

  2. Tap with a paper towel to remove excess oil and finely chop.

  3. Mix all the ingredients together.

  4. Add pepper.

  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  6. Serve with crackers and carrot sticks and celery.


I have found that the flavor develops best if done the day before. I use cheddar cheese because it is always in the fridge.
