I mentioned before that I love using my slow cooker. From soups to chili and even baked goods, it's a miracle gadget that you couldn't live without. Every time I think of a weekend dish, my mind automatically goes to my slow cooker. I love using it on rest days when I can put something there and forget it for the rest of the day. And in addition to being so easy to use, it also makes my house smell amazing!

One of my favorite things to do in the morning and at night is to have a hot coffee with coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Since I'm always cold (even in 90 degree weather), a hot drink (and this soup) is the ticket for me! And while I generally choose coffee over tea, I do enjoy flavored teas, especially during the winter.

And since I've never tried a drink in my beloved slow cooker before, it was time for me to create one. After reflecting on different ideas, I finally decided on this slow-cooking blueberry spice tea. Made with black tea, cranberry juice, lemon, cinnamon, and cloves, the flavor and aroma of this tea is perfect for warming up when you feel cold.

Even if you are not a big fan of tea, I guarantee you will love this drink! Cranberry juice and spices mix to create a fruity flavor, with just the right amount of flavor. And since this slow cooker cranberry spice tea simmers for several hours, you can brew it and then let your slow cooker do the rest of the work. That's the best part of this gadget, right?

Simply place two tea bags of boiling water in the slow cooker and let steep for five minutes. Then add a little cranberry juice, sugar, lemon, cinnamon, and cloves. Let it simmer for two hours or over high heat for one hour and your Slow Cooker Cranberry Spice Tea is ready to drink.

Ingredients

  • 2 black tea bags

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 8 cups of cranberry juice

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 lemon cut into slices

  • 3 cinnamon sticks

  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  • Put the tea bags in the slow cooker and pour boiling water over it. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes.

  • Add cranberry juice, sugar, lemon, cinnamon, and gloves. Stir to combine. Cover and cook over low heat for 2-3 hours or over high heat for 1-2 hours.

  • Remove lemon wedges and cinnamon sticks before serving. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

Leftover tea can be refrigerated for up to five days.
