Copycat Chick-fil-A iced coffee

I think I'm the biggest coffee drinker I know. I have a drink with me almost all day. Sometimes I try to cut back, but it never lasts too long. I have proclaimed myself a true coffee addict.

When I heard that Chick-fil-A now offers an iced coffee drink, I was very excited to try this new drink or two or maybe three. Cold coffee can be wonderful during the summer months. Hell … most of the time I am drinking my cold coffee because I am a busy mother with 5 children. Getting a hot mug is pretty rare. So a cold coffee drink sounds perfect.

Last summer, I shared our CopyCat Chick-fil-A iced lemonade recipe with all of you. It is one of the most popular recipes on my blog. She even appeared in Women’s World magazine. Since I did so well with that recreation, I knew I had to try to replicate this amazing iced coffee drink.

I made this recipe almost identical to the lemonade. I just replaced the cold brewed coffee with the lemon. I used Edy’s Slow Churned Ice again because the consistency is always perfect.

I was so happy that this turned out perfect. The flavor of the coffee was strong enough. As a coffee drinker, I think it is the BEST gift of cold coffee. YUMMO!

It only takes two simple ingredients to make your own homemade Chick-Fil-A Iced Coffee. You will need coffee beans and vanilla ice cream. I have found that Edy's slow shake ice cream is closest to Chick-fil-A Ice Dream.

INGREDIENTS 1 cup dark roasted coffee beans 2 cups cold water 4 cups Edy’s Slow Churn vanilla ice cream (about 8 scoops)

ADDRESSES Coarse grind the coffee beans. Place the ground coffee in a large bowl of water and let it rest in the refrigerator overnight. Strain through the cheesecloth of the filter to remove the beans. Add a cup of coffee to two cups of ice cream in the blender. Run to the consistency of the milk shake. Repeat for another portion
