Christmas Puppy Chow Ingredients:

How to Make Muddy Christmas Friends

Start by preparing a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a non-stick silicone mat.

TIP: We love these reusable silicone mats because they are non-stick so your puppy food will slide off them. Plus, you can wash and use these rugs over and over again. (Psst … They are great gifts!)

Scoop the red icing and 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (or melted white caramel) into a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30-45 seconds, stirring every 15 seconds. If necessary, add a touch of butter or coconut oil to soften.

Combine the red glaze and 2 cups of Chex mix in a large bowl and stir until all the pieces are covered.

Pour 1/2 cup powdered sugar into a large gallon ziplock bag, then add your caramel-coated red cereal. Seal the bag and shake well until all of the cereal is covered with sugar.

Open the bag and shake the cereal on its prepared baking sheet, then repeat the process with green icing.

Allow your Christmas puppy food to rest on the baking sheet for at least an hour, until dry.
