I love making skillet cookies. Because when it comes to cookies, bigger is always better.

It's a quick and easy nonsense-proof recipe that is sure to be a hit.

No blender needed, no dough to chill, ready and on the table in 30 minutes, ideal for families and perfect for events, parties or vacations.

To prepare the dough, I used Betty Crocker â„¢ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix. It's a great shortcut when you're short on time, but Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Skillet Cookie, Loaded Soft and Chewy's M&M Cookie Pie, or Triple Peanut Butter Cookie Pie are easy recipes from scratch.

My family loved this big cookie that is soft, chewy, buttery, loaded with chocolate chips, and the chocolate candy and ice cream on top don't hurt.

They said it is one of the best cookies I have ever made and I have made more than one or two cookies in my day.

In case you don't need a 10-inch cookie at a time, which we didn't eat for dessert the day I made it, I wrapped the leftovers in plastic wrap into pieces in individual portions and they were perfect snacks the next two days. In fact, I loved it even more because the chocolate confection soaked, making it even more moist and chocolatey.

It's such an easy and comforting dessert that it's perfect to pair with an easy dinner recipe like the Easy Pizza Bake I released earlier in the week. I love making skillet cookies because when it comes to cookies, bigger is always better. It's a quick and easy nonsense-proof recipe that is sure to be a hit. No blender is needed, no dough to cool, ready in 30 minutes and ideal for families. My family loved this big cookie that is soft, chewy, buttery, loaded with chocolate chips, and the chocolate candy and ice cream on top don't hurt.

Ingredients:

  • 17.5-ounce bag Betty Crocker â„¢ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened (as requested in the cookie mix bag)
  • 1 large egg (as required in the cookie mix bag)
  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, to drizzle
  • hot fudge, to drizzle (homemade or purchased)
  • ice cream to serve, optional

Addresses:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and spray 10-inch heavy-duty skillet with cooking spray; set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, add the cookie mixture, butter, and egg and stir until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Spread the dough evenly in the pan, smooth with a spatula, or press with your fingertips to flatten and cover the bottom.
  4. Sprinkle evenly with the chocolate chips, pressing lightly with your fingers.
  5. Bake 20 to 23 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Do not over bake; the cookie will continue to cook once out of the oven due to remaining cooking and should be sticky. If you prefer more well-made cookies, bake a few more minutes.
  6. Place the pan on a wire rack to cool and allow to cool for about 5 minutes before sprinkling with hot fudge and optionally serving with ice cream. The cookie is best warm and fresh, but will stay airtight for up to 4 days. I wrap the leftovers in plastic wrap in individual pieces and heat for 5 to 10 seconds in the mic before serving for that freshly baked flavor.
