Chipotle Salsa is a delicious and tasty appetizer. You can also use as a star ingredient for your Mexican dishes. Enjoy!
Every time I visit my mom, she loves to send us home with lots of stuff. Hashtag Mexican moms be like … The whole back seat and trunk will be completely full. I'm not exaggerating either. Redheads also come home with a $ 100 bill in their pocket. If we are lucky, she will give us a dish that she has prepared. As delicious as her dishes are, it can be very challenging to transport her food safely – it needs to be refrigerated and usually not get it back in the drive. Talk about a Mexican food tragedy! However, this Chipotle Salsa made it safe and secure. It was eagerly consumed in our house within hours of its arrival.
Making Chipotle Salsa is super easy. Seriously, easy. "Don't worry, the salsa is here!" It's probably one of the lightest salsa recipes I know. It’s great to eat in front of a good football game with a big bowl of tortilla chips, or you can cook with it too. Everyone has their own version of this recipe, but that's how we make it.
Some people will roast their tomatoes, giving it an extra depth of flavor. The lazy man's way of making Chipotle Salsa is to use raw tomatoes. You will still cook the tomatoes and if you have time for it all, fry them for maximum flavor. Me? I am a busy home cook. "Time is Mother" and I have to save it when I can. Do not worry. The raw version will still be just as flavorful, but it still needs to be cooked.
Here's the tricky part. Heat the oil. Give room. Then, slowly add a little of the tomato mixture to the pan. Warning: it is spraying. Then add a little more immediately. Then add it all. It is very hot. Keep the kids away until the sauce is safe in the pan and let it whisk. Cook on low heat for 15 minutes. The salsa has become thicker.
Chipotle Salsa is a versatile and delicious way to spice up your food. Perfect with chips or as a base for your light Mexican recipes. Hope you enjoy it!
