Cheese sauce with pesto pasta sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1-1 / 2 pounds Italian sausage
  • 8 oz dry spaghetti
  • 1 (6 oz) jar basil pesto
  • 8 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1-1 / 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400ĀŗF. Lightly spray a 9×9-inch skillet with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat until it crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain fat
  3. Cook spaghetti for 2 minutes less than package directions specify. Drain the spaghetti well.

  4. Place the cooked pasta in a bowl. Add the sausage, ricotta, pesto, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, and 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese. Mix the mixture well and transfer it to the prepared skillet.
  5. Sprinkle with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake, uncovered, for 25 to 30 minutes.
