Cheese and Basil Rolls

  • 500 g of minced meat
  • 250 g minced meat of sausage
  • 1/3 cup mozzarella
  • 1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil
  • 1/3 cup sliced ​​stuffed green olives
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 4 frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 1 lightly beaten egg


  1. Combine minced meat and sausage with cheese, basil, olives, tomato paste, and breadcrumbs in bowl, mix well.

  2. Cut each puff pastry sheet in half. Lay the mixture in a line along the center of each rectangle.

  3. Brush the edges of the rectangle with a little egg and twist to enclose.

  4. Cut each roll into four pieces, prick the top of each roll with a fork, and brush with egg.

  5. Lay the rolls seam-side down on the baking sheets.

  6. Bake at 220 ° C for about 20 minutes or until golden.

  7. Serve with sauce, if desired.
