Basil, tomato, avocado and crab appetizer with wasabi and soy dressing

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados, chopped
  • 1 chive finely chopped
  • 1 chopped bush
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh basil
  • a pinch of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups of crab meat
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • a pinch of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Soy wasabi dressing

  • 1 teaspoon of wasabi powder
  • 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons of honey

Instructions

  1. Place the chopped avocado in a bowl; add chives and stir gently.

  2. Place the chopped tomatoes in another bowl along with the basil, salt, and pepper.

  3. Place the crab meat in a bowl; Gently stir with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  4. Mix the ingredients for the soy wasabi dressing in a small bowl. Add two tablespoons of dressing to the chopped avocado.

  5. Line 8-ounce pan with plastic wrap. Place a quarter of the crab meat in the pan and press with a spoon. Add a quarter of the chopped avocado on top and press down with a spoon. Invert the mold to a serving platter by tapping the mold on the plate.

  6. Put a little of the tomato and basil mixture on top. Repeat three more times with the remaining mixture of crabmeat, avocado, and tomato.

  7. Drizzle the soy wasabi dressing a little more over the appetizer.

If you don't have wasabi powder, substitute sriracha sauce.
