Bacon Ranch Turkey Grinders are a five-minute prep snack that pleases the crowd. My kids swallowed these easy turkey pinwheels when I made them for a party recently. They taste great with just a little effort. This easy recipe is Low Carb, Keto, Gluten Free, Grain Free, Sugar Free and Trim Healthy Mama Friendly.

I'm not a soccer fan. Absolutely. For a while I tried to watch soccer with my husband when we just got married, but it's not my thing. I realized that it is okay to have different interests and hobbies. I don't need to be a fan of the super dumb Giants to have a good marriage.

What I will do is make a lot of snacks for the rest of my family to enjoy during soccer games. The kitchen is my happy place. Much more than sitting on the sofa watching football.

When I saw this video recently floating on Facebook, I knew I wanted to make my own version of turkey pinwheels from Turkey. I'm not a big fan of salami or those canned peppers, so I went with a turkey ranch version instead. My trick to recreate the flavor of the ranch is to use garlic, onion, and dill. I really think that dill is the quintessential ranch flavor.

Bacon & Ranch

This is one of my favorite flavor combos if you haven't noticed. I already have some bacon ranch recipes: Bacon Chicken Casserole, Cheddar and Bacon Chicken Salad, Cheddar and Bacon Broccoli Salad, and Bacon Wrapped Bacon with Ranch Sauce. You can have a complete meal flavored with bacon ranch.

How to make turkey pinwheels

First step:

Roll the cream cheese over two layers of plastic wrap. Remove the top layer. Add turkey. Flip everything over a new plastic wrap so the turkey is on the bottom and remove the top plastic wrap from the flattened cream cheese.

Second step:

Add seasonings. I use a homemade spice mix to flavor this like ranch.

Expert Tip: You don't need a package of ranch salad dressing. These herbs and spices give a ranch flavor without all the additives. All you need for that ranch flavor is onion, garlic, and dill!

Third step:

Add a little grated cheddar cheese and cooked crumbled bacon over cream cheese and seasonings.

Fourth step:

Roll up the turkey cheese grinders. Roll up a little more. Wrap with the plastic wrap that was under the roll.

Chill for at least 2 hours. Cut and serve!

Some other easy turkey pinwheel recipes are:

Chipotle Turkey: Mix some chipotle puree in the cream cheese before spreading it. Skip the dill.

Cranberry Herb: Mix a little cranberry sauce in the cream cheese before spreading it. Swap the dill for sage and omit the garlic, bacon, and cheddar cheese.

Blue Cheese and Tomato: Sub in blue cheese crumbles for cheddar cheese. Skip the dill.

How to Serve Turkey Grinders

I cut these about an inch thick and served them into cucumber slices. You can serve on low carb cookies if you prefer.

Can I use ham? Or salami? Or roast beef?

Yep! You can subtitle any meat of your choice. You can also change the seasonings, the type of cheese and even the bacon if you want.

  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 12 slices of smoked turkey (about 3 oz)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 tablespoon of bacon crumbles
  • 2 tablespoons grated cheddar cheese


  • Put the cream cheese between 2 pieces of plastic wrap. Stretch it until it is about 1/4 inch thick. Peel off the top of the plastic wrap. Place the turkey slices on top of the cream cheese.

  • Cover with a new piece of plastic wrap and turn everything over. Peel off the plastic piece that is now on top. Sprinkle the spices over the cream cheese. Sprinkle with the bacon and cheese.

  • Roll up the pinwheels so the turkey is out. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Cut into 12 pieces and serve on top of low carb cookies or sliced ​​cucumber.


Substitutions: Any type of cold cuts and grated cheese works in this recipe. Fresh dill can be substituted for dried dill weed. Basil also tastes great in place of dill!
