  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 115 g of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 cup powdered pastry cream

  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/3 cup grated coconut
  • 1/3 cup rolled oats

  1. Preheat the oven to 190C.

  2. To make the filling, boil the apples with enough water to cover. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.

  3. Drain the apples and let cool.

  4. Pour over the sugar, sprinkle the cinnamon powder over the apples.

  5. To make the crust, in a bowl, mix the butter and white sugar until fluffy and mix in the egg. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and custard powder.

  6. Mix with the butter mixture. Press down and to the sides of a 22 cm spring source.

  7. Pour the apples into the crust.

  8. To make the crumb, mix all the crumb ingredients using your hands, until it looks like the crumbs.

  9. Bake 45 minutes to an hour or until golden brown.

  • 2 bowl
  • 1 22 cm round spring pan

Add more cinnamon if you love the taste!
