How to make sugar cane candy

Line 8 × 8 ″ baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place candy canes in a gallon ziplock bag, seal the bag, and crush with a rolling pin. You'll want about two cups of crushed candy canes.

Combine the chocolate chips and condensed milk in the top pot of a double boiler over medium-high heat.

Stir constantly while the chocolate is heating, until it melts and is smooth.

Add a cup of crushed candy canes, then pour the mixture into your prepared skillet.

Sprinkle the remaining cup of crushed candy canes over the peppermint, gently pressing the pieces together to keep them in place.

Place the pan in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours, or until a sugar candy is formed.

TIP: To speed up the process, place the pan in the freezer for two hours. Let defrost for 30 minutes before cutting.

  • 6 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups crushed candy canes

Instructions
